| Bhumika Chawla born Rachna Chawla August 21, 1978 is an Indian actress and former model. She made her film debut in the film Telugu Yuvakudu and has since worked in various Indian film industries and has appeared in more than thirty films in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri and Punjabi. Her notable performances include Kushi, Okkadu, Tere Naam, Missamma, Gandhi, My Father, Buddy and Anasuya. Hawla was born into a Punjabi family in New Delhi, India and finished school there. His father was an army officer. Bhumika has two brothers and sisters, an older brother and a sister. She moved to Mumbai in 1997 and began her career with commercials and Hindi music albums. She appeared in the television series Zee Hip Hip Hurray. |

| Chawla began his film career in the Telugu film industry, playing in the feature film Yuvakudu alongside actor Sumanth. Her second album, Kushi, in which she plays alongside Pawan Kalyan, wins the Best Actress Telugu Filmfare award, after which she plays in several Telugu films, including Okkadu against Mahesh Babu and Simhadri against Jr. NTR , which has become two of Telugu's biggest producers. Meanwhile, she made her debut in the Tamil film industry, with the opposite actor Vijay in the film Badri, which was followed by her second film Tamil Roja Kootam. Her performance in Missamma, as a businesswoman suffering from cancer, was applauded. She was nominated for the Best Actress Telugu FilmfareAward and won the Nandi Award for Best Actress. After a number of successful and critically acclaimed films in the South, Chawla starred in Salman Khan's debut Bollywood film, Tere Naam. The film was one of the biggest producers of the year. It was a critical success and his performance in the film earned him many positive reviews as well as several nominations for the best start at various awards ceremonies. She was nominated for her first Filmfare award for Best Actress and won the Best First Film Award at the Zee Cine Awards. |
