| Prabhas was born to film producer U. Suryanarayana Raju and his wife Siva Kumari. He is the youngest of three children, with an older brother Pramod Uppalapati and his sister Pragathi. His uncle is Telugu actor Krishnam Raju Uppalapati. Prabhas attended the DNR school, Bhimavaram and obtained a B.Tech. Diploma from Sri Chaitanya College, Hyderabad. |

| Prabhas began his film career with Eeswar in 2002. In 2003, he was the leader of Raghavendra. In 2004, he appeared in Varsham. He continued his career with Adavi Raamudu and Chakram. In 2005, he played in the film Chatrapathi directed by S. S. Rajamouli, in which he portrays the role of a refugee, exploited by thugs. He had a 100 day race in 54 centers. Idlebrain said he had a unique style and a macho charm in his on-screen presence. Later he starred in Pournami, Yogi and Munna, an action-drama film was released in 2007, followed by the action comedy Bujjigadu in 2008. In 2009, his two films were Billa and Ek Niranjan. Prabhas fans in India and around the world are looking forward to his upcoming movie - Saaho - directed by Sujeeth Reddy. The film that will mark the debut of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor in Telugu was due out this year, but if the latest buzz is forthcoming, then Saaho will be released in cinemas in 2019.
According to a popular website, the filmmaker is not looking forward to filming the film. He wants to give his movie a Hollywood look and so wants a lot of time to finish it. He wants to do justice to the film by taking more time to film it.
The cast and crew will soon fly to Dubai, according to reports.
Saaho will be the first film of Prabhas after the extravagance of visual effects in two parts of SS Rajamouli, Baahubali. Prabhas had spent about 5 years working on his dual role in the magnum opus. The piece of an actor has gone on a strict diet to get the stare reinforced and has also undergone a rigorous training to prepare for his roles.
