| Pooja Chopra's career began with beauty pageant in which she was first crowned as Miss Femina Miss India - East in Kolkata in 2009. She then won the same year the Miss Perfect 10, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Catwalk, Best Body by Talwarkars and the popular Nakshatra Miss Sparkling Beauty content. She was among the ten finalists of the 2009 Miss India Femina. Chopra made her acting debut in the 2011 Tamil film, Ponnar Shankar, playing the role of Princess Muthaayi, opposite Prashanth Thiagarajan. The film was written by former Tamil Nadu Prime Minister Karunanidhi and directed by Thiagarajan.
