| Raju Srivastav or Satyaprakash Srivastava was born on December 25, 1963 in Kanpur, India, into a Kayastha family of the middle class. His father is a very famous poet, Mr.Rameshchandra Srivastava known as Balai Kaka. Being a good imitator, Raju has nurtured the dream of becoming a comedian since childhood. At school time, he imitated his teachers. He gained the initial celebrity as a look-alike of Amitabh Bachchan and also imitated it very well. He landed in Mumbai, and after a few years winked-and-you-miss-in role in Rajshri Maine's superb film Pyar Kiya. |

| Raju Srivastav, a talented artist, with a flair for comedy, had performed with Kalyanji Anandji, Bappi Lahiri and Nitin Mukesh in India and abroad. He was also noticed by Johnny Lever when he used to make shows before joining the film industry. Raju's mimicry was loved and applauded by the masses and he was an important person in Johnny Lever's troupe. His big break, however, was the comedy talent show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
