| Vikas Khanna was born on November 14, 1971 is a Michelin starred Michelin star, restaurateur, and cookbook writer, filmmaker, humanitarian and judge of MasterChef India Season 2, 3, 4, 5 and Masterchef Junior. He is based in New York City. In 2011, People magazine named Khanna in the list of Sexiest Men Alive and nicknamed her "The Hottest Chef of America". Khanna was born in Amritsar, India, Davinder and Bindu Khanna. He was born with misaligned feet and could not run until he was 13 years old. He was inspired by his grandmother who loved to cook, and his cooking became part of his basic training. He has an older brother, Nishant Khanna, and a younger sister, Radhika Khanna.Khanna started developing recipes at a very young age and opened Lawrence Gardens Banquets to host weddings and family functions when he was 17 years old. He graduated from the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Administration at Manipal Hotel in 1991, and established SAANCH, a cultural festival gala, to bring together various foods and traditions from different parts of India. |

| He began his professional career by joining Leela Group of Hotels and then worked with the group Welcome and Taj Group of Hotels. After working at various locations, he finally opened his own restaurant called Junoon in New York in 2010. The restaurant has received several positive reviews and has been congratulated with Michelin Star for 6 consecutive years. He is known as a well-known cookbook author and has written some of the most exclusive cookbooks the world has ever seen. Among all the books he has written some of the world-renowned books include Modern Indian Cooking, Savor Mumbai, World Feast - My Favorite Kitchen, and "Shaken & Stirred - A Soft Drink Book" between other. He achieved fame after writing a 1,200-page book titled "UTSAV - A Culinary Epic of Indian Festivals". The book is one of the most expensive books ever written because it costs 8 INR lakhs per copy.
