| Oviya is an Inidan movie actress and a model. She was born on April 29, 1991 in Thrissur, Kerela, India. Oviya works in the Tamil film industry, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. She made her screen debut in Malayalam Movie Kangaroo and her Tamil Debut Kalavani. Oviya rose to fame for the movie Kalakalappu and Kalavani both films named his filmfare awards. |

| Oviya was a model. She gained prominence after her performance in the comic Tamil film called Kalavani in 2010. She played the opposite actor Vimal in this film. Her birth name is Helen Nelson. She was studying Arts at Thrissur when director Sargunam approached her for her Kalavani project. After this film was well received at the box office, she began receiving many offers from various South Indian directors. She had the opportunity to act with superstar Tamil Kamal Hassan in the movie Manmadhan Ambu. Although she was in the movie with a short role, the superstar was so impressed by her that he offered her a lead role in her upcoming film Cloud Nine. |
