| Sonakshi Sinha born June 2, 1987 is an Indian actress. She is a daughter of actors Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. After working as a costume designer early in her career, Sinha made her acting debut in the action film Dabangg, which earned her all the Debut Awards, including the Best Female Debut Filmfare Award. Sinha has played the romantic interest of male protagonists in several big-name action dramas, including Rowdy Rathore, son of Sardaar, Dabangg 2, and vacation: a soldier is never out of service, although she has been criticized for taking roles that gave him limited scope. She received rave reviews for her portrayal of a woman suffering from tuberculosis in the romantic drama Lootera, for which she received a nomination for the Best Actress Filmfare Award. |

| Sinha began her career as a costume designer, designing costumes for films such as Mera Dil Leke Dekho in 2005. She made her acting debut in the 2010 film Dabangg, in which she starred against Salman Khan. It became the most profitable film of 2010 and finally emerged as a blockbuster of all time. Sinha had to lose 30 kg in preparation for the role of villager. His performance has been well received, with critic Taran Adarsh noted, "Sonakshi Sinha looks cool, acts with confidence and gets married very well with Salman, but above all she gives the right expressions and she is not dominated by the galaxy of casting stars. " Although Sinha had no film in 2011, she won prizes for her debut. This included the Filmfare Award as well as the IIFA Awards among many others. Sinha had four releases in 2012, her first being Rowdy Rathore from Prabhu Deva, opposite Akshay Kumar. The film opened to critics mixed reviews, although it had a strong opening at the box office, gathering approximately. Critic Rajeev Masand criticized his ornamental role and writes that Sinha "seems to exist in this film only to have his midriff repeatedly pinched by Akshay Kumar." His next film, Shirish Kunder's Joker, also opposed to Akshay Kumar, turned out to be a box office commercial disaster and received extremely negative reviews. |
