| Kareena Kapoor Born September 21, 1980, also known as his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films. She is the daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and the youngest sister of actress Karisma Kapoor. Noted for playing a variety of characters in a variety of film genres - from romantic comedies to police drama - Kapoor has received several awards, including six Filmfare Awards, and is one of Bollywood's most popular and best-paid actresses. |

| While training at the institute, Kapoor was chosen as the female leader in Rakesh Roshan's Kaho Naa ... Pyaar Hai facing her son, Hrithik Roshan. However, several days after the shooting, she abandoned the project; Kapoor later explained that she had benefited by not making the film since more importance was given to the director's son. She started later this year alongside Abhishek Bachchan in the war drama of J. P. Dutta Refugee. Established during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the film focuses on a man who illegally transports civilians across the border. Kapoor portrays Naaz, a Bangladeshi girl who falls in love with the character of Bachchan during her illegal migration to Pakistan with her family. His performance was acclaimed by critics; Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama describes her as "a natural artist" and notes "the ease with which she evokes the most difficult scenes," while India Today reports that Kapoor belongs to a new generation of Hindi cinema actors who breaks with stereotypes. On the experience of acting in his first film, Kapoor described as "a difficult experience .also a great learning experience" .Refugee was a moderate box office success in India and Kapoor's performance earned him the Filmfare Award for the best female debut. |
