| Pawan Kalyan entered the Telugu film industry with the 1996 film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi as Kalyan Kumar. His second film was Gokulamlo Seetha in 1997, which was a remake of the 1996 Tamil film Gokulathil Seethai. This film was directed by Muthyala Subbaiah and produced by G.V.G. Raju. In 1997, he also appeared in Suswagatham, a remake of Tamil 1997 Love Today. In 1998, Tholi Prema was released and won a national award and six Nandi awards. After Tholi Prema, Pawan Kalyan played at Thammudu, playing the role of a kick boxer. Thammudu was released on July 15, 1999 and was written and directed by AP Arun Prasad. Then he played in the first directorial company of Puri Jagannadh, Badri. In 2001, he was the Pepsi brand's ambassador when his brother Chiranjeevi was promoting Coca-Cola. |

| Jana Sena Party is an Indian political party in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, founded by actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan on March 14, 2014. Jana Sena means popular army in Telugu. The motto of the party is to fight for the rights of every single person. On March 10, 2014, Pawan filed an application to register the party name Pawan Kalyan officially launched the party at the Hyderabad International Convention Center, Madhapur on March 14, 2014 The party was approved by the electoral commission on December 11, 2014 and will participate in elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states for the next local elections by 2019. Pawan Kalyan began campaigning for the Telugu Desam Party and BJP united front at the start of the 2014 general election and managed to draw the attention of crowds across the state, exposing his political agenda . His efforts finally led the respective victorious parties in Andhra Pradesh state and at the central level, paving the way for the establishment of an NDA government. The government of Andhra Pradesh has reviewed Pawan Kalyan's recommendations, which are prioritized for the common needs of man. In November 2016, Pawan Kalyan announced that Jana Sena's first party party will be established in Anantapur next year and Jana Sena Party will run in the 2019 general election. On February 21, 2017, Pawan Kalyan announced that he will launch a website on March 14, 2017 on the Jana Sena party's birthday to receive the peoples' recommendations for the party manifesto in 2019. |
